Please gear up in your favorite Disney apparel and join us next Wednesday to commemorate Trevor Tonsing by continuing his legacy of service. Trevor Tonsing was a fellow Bronco before he died of heart failure eight years ago. During his time at Northgate he was a Disney enthusiast and in the final stages of becoming an Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project he organized a blanket-making for a small group of kids suffering from heart failure, Sadly, he passed away before seeing his project through. The goal this year is to continue his legacy and help make 100 tie-knot blankets. They will be donated to the cardiology branch of Oakland Children's Hospital where Trevor spent a lot of time himself.
The event takes place at Northgate on Wednesday, February 15th from 2 to 3 o'clock and you must stay the duration of the event for it to qualify as a project (even if it goes a little past three). Please make sure that an event supervisor signs off on your participation. Project/Hours slips are available on the homepage.
Remember, this event can count as your single mandated project or volunteer hours, but not both.
